This page indexes the key legal and compliance documents Pearl Education makes available to customers and evaluators. Pearl contracts business-to-business: a customer signs the MSA and an Order Form (and a DPA or NDPA for Student Data). End users do not sign the MSA.

Master Service Agreement (MSA)

The binding commercial contract for the Products and Professional Services. Current published version: PEARL-MSA-2026-06-10.

The MSA is accepted through a signed Order Form that references the MSA version record (MSA §18.9). Each published MSA version is immutable; any change is published under a new document ID and URL (MSA preamble).

Student Data Privacy Exhibit (DPA) / NDPA

Pearl’s Student Data Privacy Exhibit governs the processing of Student Data and is structured to align with the SDPC National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA) so a state or national NDPA can replace it with minimal change. Where the parties (or the relevant education agency) execute a state or national NDPA, that agreement controls for Student Data (MSA §5.1; DPA Art. I). Pearl is not a member of A4L/SDPC but adheres to the SDPC NDPA framework and has executed NDPAs with districts and consortia, including a Texas (TEC) 11-state consortium NDPA and agreements covering Florida, Oregon, and Massachusetts. Executed copies are provided on request or after contracting; Pearl does not post signed NDPAs publicly.

Security Overview

A summary of Pearl’s information security program — administrative, technical, and physical safeguards; encryption in transit and at rest; least-privilege access; and personnel security training (MSA §4.3). Pearl has completed a SOC 2 Type I examination (Security / Common Criteria scope); a SOC 2 Type II is planned. Pearl makes its then-current SOC 2 report and security documentation available under NDA on reasonable request (MSA §4.3; DPA §6.1). See the Security section of this Trust Center for details.

Insurance Summary

Pearl maintains insurance appropriate to its business, including cyber liability, professional liability (errors and omissions), commercial general liability, and workers’ compensation coverage. Certificates of insurance are available on reasonable request; specific requirements, if any, are set per transaction in the applicable Order Form or customer paper (MSA §15).
