Pearl Education (Trilogy Mentors Inc., DBA Pearl) builds its web and mobile applications (the “Products”) to be usable by the widest possible range of students, instructors, parents, and administrators, including people who rely on assistive technology. Accessibility is an ongoing engineering and design priority, not a one-time project.

Our Standards Target

Pearl builds and evaluates the web application against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Levels A and AA. Detailed, criterion-by-criterion conformance is documented in Pearl’s VPAT (see *Conformance Documentation* below).

We also align our accessibility practices with:

• Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which many of our public-sector customers are required to meet.
• The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), including the expectations many school districts and state education agencies apply to the digital tools they procure.

These frameworks are closely related: Section 508 and most ADA digital-access expectations are measured against the WCAG success criteria, so our WCAG 2.1 Levels A and AA target is the foundation for all three.

What We Work To Provide

Within the Products, our accessibility work focuses on:

• Keyboard operability for core workflows.
• Compatibility with common screen readers.
• Sufficient color contrast and resizable text.
• Clear labels and instructions for forms and interactive controls.

These are focus areas of our ongoing accessibility work; criterion-by-criterion detail is documented in our VPAT (see Conformance Documentation below).

Conformance Documentation (VPAT)

A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT®) describes how a product measures against Section 508 and WCAG criteria, and is commonly requested during district and state procurement. Pearl maintains a current VPAT (version 2.5, dated 2026-01-09) covering WCAG 2.1 Levels A and AA, and makes it available on request.
