Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 16, 2026

This policy covers Pearl’s marketing websites (for example, poweredbypearl.com) and B2B interactions such as inquiries, demos, events, and newsletters. It does not cover the Pearl Products or student data — see the Product Privacy Policy and the Student Data Privacy Notice. The two are kept separate by design.

1. Scope and Audience

This policy applies to visitors to Pearl’s marketing websites and to prospective and current customer contacts — generally adults acting in a business capacity (district and agency staff, educators, and partners). It does not apply to authenticated use of the Products.

2. Information We Collect

  • Information you provide: name, work email, organization, role, phone, and the content of your inquiry when you contact us, request a demo, subscribe to communications, or register for an event.
  • Information collected automatically: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar analytics data collected via cookies and similar technologies (see the Website Cookie Notice).

3. How We Use Information

  • respond to inquiries and provide requested information;
  • send newsletters, product updates, and marketing communications you may opt out of at any time;
  • measure and improve our websites and campaigns; and
  • manage events and our customer relationships.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our marketing websites use website analytics (for example, Google Analytics), advertising and retargeting technologies (for example, Meta and Google Ads), an email-marketing/newsletter platform, and CRM and lead-capture forms. These technologies help us understand site usage and reach relevant audiences. These marketing technologies are not connected to the Pearl Products and never receive student data. See the Website Cookie Notice for categories and choices.

5. How We Share Information

We share marketing-site information with service providers who support our website, analytics, advertising, email, and CRM functions, under contracts that limit their use of the information. We may also disclose information to comply with law or valid legal process, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale. We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising/retargeting activity may be considered “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under certain state laws; see Section 7 for your choices.

6. Data Retention

We retain marketing-site information for as long as needed for the purposes above, to comply with law, and to maintain business records, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

7. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA, and Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising and any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and to appeal a decision. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

  • Opt out of targeted advertising / sharing: use our “Your Privacy Choices” control or adjust your cookie settings; we honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required.
  • Submit a request: privacy@poweredbypearl.com. We will verify your request; authorized agents may submit with proof of authorization.

8. Marketing Choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, or by contacting us. Transactional and relationship messages are not affected.

9. International Users

Pearl is based in the United States and stores data in the United States. Coverage for Canadian visitors (PIPEDA / Quebec Law 25) will be added before Pearl markets to or serves Canadian audiences.

10. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy and will post the new effective date. Questions: privacy@poweredbypearl.com, or Trilogy Mentors Inc., DBA Pearl, 1717 E Cary St, Richmond, VA 23223.
